Our Midlands-based NHS Trust partner was experiencing severe under use of their orthopaedic theatre capacity resulting in extended RTT times, increased waits, reduced activity and loss of revenue for the Trust.
Solution
SHS Partners reviewed the pathways and limitations of existing services to devise a bespoke solution for a managed service consisting of pathway reconfiguration, staffing solutions and weekend working. SHS Partners provided all clinical staff to enable the theatres to reopen, and the Trust benefited from a tariff revenue share.
