A large Midlands NHS hospital was exceeding waiting times for Urodynamics. SHS Partners was asked to deliver a contract to treat 250+ patients over 13 weekends. The initial contract was so successful it has been extended several times with discussions about further renewals.

Solution

The solution was designed totally around the needs of the hospital and to dovetail with their existing services. Our Urology theatre team includes one Consultant Urologist, one Consultant Anaesthetist, one ODP, two Scrub Nurses, one Healthcare Assistant and two Recovery Nurses. And, when delivering Urodynamics, we provided one Consultant Urologist, one Nurse and one Healthcare Assistant.

• Over 250 patients treated over 13 weekends
• Twice exended contract
